Temptations!

As many of his friends will attest to, the HTML Swiss
Army Knife is notoriously weak when it comes to temptations, especially when it
comes to gadgets. Case in point: after receiving a brand-new Nintendo 64 for his
birthday, the HTML Knife had a hard time keeping his paws
off the joypad and on the keyboard, lest production on this current
EX issue slip too much.
No doubt some pundits are wondering what the big deal is about the
Nintendo 64. But the philosophy "a hardware is as good as its software" cuts
both ways, and in this case it wasn't so much the console than a certain
limited-edition gold cartridge
that the HTML Knife was trying to resist. Go ye forth,
and kick ye some tail!
More temptations!

If the brilliance of the latest Miyamoto Shigeru effort had the HTML Knife struck with awe (well, what little he saw of it
before fellow HTML crew member Rika slapped his wrists for peeking at it early),
he was amazed by the beauty of the
recent trailer for
FINAL FANTASY VIII the movie, er, the game.
Squaresoft may be criticized for emphasizing style over substance
with their recent efforts, but by golly! They sure know how to put on a show.
And yet more temptations!

Barely missing the launch of the Dreamcast but hot on its heels is
SONIC ADVENTURE, marking the triumphant return of the
spunky blue hedgehog. Now the HTML Swiss Army Knife has
yet another console to fuel his addiction with. Doh!
But what about the next issue?

This HTML-slicing utensil aside, most staffers at
EX are but human—the year is over, the holidays are
upon us, and (no offense to our readers) the last thing on our minds for the
holidays is what to plan for EX 4.1. Rest assured,
however, that Team EX will be back for another year.
In the meantime, it's time to party like it's 1999.
Cheers!
